For over 30 years, RMTC has formed
alliances with various types of firms and associations throughout
the world. We enjoy an excellent reputation within our industry
and actively seek to promote a positive image regarding the profession
of commercial collections.
We are consistently rated in the top ten, pure commercial
collection agencies in the country. RMTC refrains from any and all
retail activity. As a result, we are not the largest agency, nor
do we wish to pursue that goal. It is our belief that we can only
maintain our integrity as an institution by remaining focused on
what we do best.
Upon last count, there were over 3000 companies throughout
the country claiming to be licensed commercial collection agencies
with decades of experience in the recovery of delinquent receivables.
Unfortunately, this is not the case and many of these agencies reflect
poorly on the industry as a whole. Therefore, we have included below
a partial listing of our primary memberships and affiliations in
an effort to raise your comfort level.
Less than 100 commercial agencies can honestly profess to meet all
these standards.
Commercial Law League of America has a membership
of over 4000 commercial law firms.
The Commercial Collection Agency Section of the Commercial Law League
was established in 1972 to improve the quality and reputation of
the commercial collection industry. Only the very few who meet their
criteria and adhere to their Code of Ethics are permitted membership.
Highlights of that criteria are listed below:
In business for a minimum of three years.
A minimum of 80% of the agency's business is commercial.
The agency agrees to maintain a separate Trust
Account.
The agency must post a surety bond for its clients
protection.
The Trust Account is subject to analysis semiannually.
The agency must subscribe to the CCAS Code of Ethics.
Only 130 Agencies have been admitted to the
CLLA.
International Association of Commercial Collectors,
Inc.
RMTC has been a member of the IACC since 1987. The IACC is a trade
association comprised of more than 225 collection specialists
and 120 commercial attorneys. In order to join the IACC, owners
and their agencies must be experienced, bonded and maintain a
separate trust account for all client monies. Once membership
in IACC is granted, member agencies are expected to maintain the
same high professional standards and strive for excellence in
their business operations. Through our membership in the IACC,
the CLLA and the General Bar, RMTC is networked with other professional
agencies and commercial attorneys throughout the world. Our ability
to recover both domestic and international debt is greatly enhanced
by these and other similar alliances.
Experian/TRW Business Information Solutions
In addition to maintaining a proprietary database of accounts placed
for collection, RMTC contributes to Experian on a monthly basis.
All debtors who refuse to resolve a bona fide debt are forwarded
as a collection item to Experian for posting in their database.
Future and existing creditors subscribing to the many products and
services offered to credit professionals by Experian will have access
to your experience with the Debtor.
Other licenses, affiliations and memberships
Licensed and bonded to the State of Florida Department of Banking
& Finance. Additional bonding through the Commercial Law League
of America, the International Association of Commercial Collectors
and special bonding through the General Bar.
